“I have blended Classical and Modern elements in this painting.  The background is very neutral, reminiscent of backgrounds used in classical floral still life paintings.  As a sharp contrast, I have used a palette of Primary Colors: Red, Blue, and Yellow that is inspired by fauvist artists such as Matisse to create a very bold and vibrant bouquet of flowers.  This is a work that is “transitional” in nature and fits in a traditional as well as a contemporary setting.” - Bob Pejman
